Considered the “Father of Tennessee Basketball,” Ray Mears coined the term “Big Orange Country” for the UT fanbase when he was hired in 1962. Since the NCAA began sanctioning women's sports in the 1981–82 season, the Volunteers have one of the most successful combinations of men’s and women’s programs in college basketball history. The men have won eleven regular season conference titles and five conference tournament championships while the Lady Vols have compiled eight national titles in addition to their eighteen regular season conference titles and seventeen conference tournament championships. Celebrate Tennessee “Big Orange Basketball” in the comfiest orange tee you’ll ever own.
